How WOO Was Born

Lauryn is the co-founder of WOO, founder of The Skinny Confidential, and co-host of The Bossticks Podcast. For more than a decade, she has interviewed leading experts across wellness, hormones, relationships, and sexual health, helping millions of listeners and readers make more informed decisions about their bodies and well-being. After struggling to find intimate products made with ingredients she felt good about using, she helped create WOO to bring a cleaner, wellness-first approach to sexual wellness.

Westin Mitchell

Co-Founder

With nearly a decade in the sexual wellness industry, Westin leads creative strategy, product development, and brand design at WOO. He has helped oversee the development of WOO's lubricants, vibrators, and intimate care products, with a focus on making them body-safe, approachable, and enjoyable to use. He also collaborates with sex educators, therapists, and other industry experts to develop educational resources and content that help people navigate sexual wellness with confidence.

Michael Bosstick

Co-Founder

Michael Bosstick is the co-founder of WOO, CEO of Dear Media, and co-host of The Bossticks Podcast alongside Lauryn. Across hundreds of conversations with leading health, wellness, relationship, and intimacy experts, he has developed a deep understanding of the challenges people face behind closed doors. At WOO, Michael helps shape the company's growth strategy and brand storytelling, turning honest conversations about sex, intimacy, and relationships into a brand people trust.

A note from our co-founder

Some businesses start in boardrooms. Ours started over dinner with my two best friends, Michael and Lauryn. We’d grown up together, and had always given each other advice on all things dating, relationships, sex... you name it.

Lauryn has always been a big believer in natural products, and she started using coconut oil instead of lube. Sex instantly became better & more comfortable. This was back in 2016, when Lauryn was busy growing her blog, The Skinny Confidential. She wrote a post about using coconut oil in the bedroom and it quickly took off.

One day she casually mentioned it to me, I gave it a try, and everything changed- sex felt more fun, more connected, and honestly, impossible to imagine without it now. But there was a catch: the coconut oil came in big, messy jars and didn’t exactly taste great. And when I looked around, the intimacy aisle was packed with products that felt outdated, sleazy, and nothing like us.

That’s when the lightbulb went off. If sex could feel this good with something as simple as coconut oil, what if there was a brand built around natural products, chic design, and a message that actually spoke to people like us? So that night at dinner, I shared my vision for an organic sex brand with Lauryn and Michael, and the answer was an immediate yes.

What began as a simple idea quickly became WOO: a brand reimagining sexual wellness with natural products, cheeky honesty, and a mission to help everyone have the best sex of their lives.
